PTE Describe Image Practice
Study the chart for 25 seconds, then describe it aloud for up to 40 seconds. Describe Image is scored on content, oral fluency and pronunciation. You get an estimate on the 10-90 scale, a transcript of what you said and the three habits costing you the most.
You get 25 seconds to study the chart. Recording then starts by itself and stops after 40 seconds, or when you click the mic. Say what the chart shows, the main features with their figures, and what it suggests. Pronunciation is estimated from your transcript, so treat that mark as a guide.

How long do I get?
25 seconds to study the chart, then up to 40 seconds to speak, the timings Pearson publishes for Describe Image. Recording starts on its own when preparation ends.
What is scored?
Content, oral fluency and pronunciation. Content is the heavy one: it rewards describing every part of the chart, using specific figures, and saying what the picture suggests.
Why is pronunciation only a guide here?
Your answer is scored from a transcript of what you said, so pronunciation is estimated from how clearly your words came through rather than heard.
