Would you rather live in a busy city or a quiet town? Explain your choice with reasons and examples.
Model answer
I would choose the busy city, although I understand exactly what I am giving up. Cities are loud, expensive and occasionally exhausting, and the town offers peace that no city park can imitate. But a city is a compounding machine for opportunities: the job you have not heard of yet, the teacher of the skill you have not chosen yet, the friend from a country you have not visited yet, all within one train ride. In a quiet town, life is comfortable but the menu is short. My compromise is rhythm rather than address: live where the options are, and escape regularly to where the quiet is. Peace makes a wonderful weekend, but options build a life.
